An email has been sent out to everyone who signed up on Clubs Day or emailed us to be added to the list. A few emails bounced back – if you signed up but didn’t receive an email, email us with your name, Student ID and email address at firstname.lastname@example.org
In case you missed our introductory meeting, our next meeting is on Wednesday 28th February from 6pm at the Rec Centre. This is the first of our weekly gaming sessions. We have some Dungeons and Dragons games starting up, as well as some casual board gaming and one-shot rpgs. If you’re new to the club and looking to try out some games, this is a good opportunity.
We also have our first weekend convention for the year coming up on the 2nd-4th March. This is a free event full of tabletop roleplaying games, board games and a larp. A link to the signup form has been posted on our conventions page, where you can also find other details. Preregistrations aren’t mandatory, but doing so will give us a good idea of how many people to expect and make it more likely that you’ll get to be in the games you want.
Due to the weather, Clubs Day has been moved to the University Link (adjoining the library). The first meeting is still at the Rec Centre as planned.
The site is now up to date with all the current info for this year. We plan on updating more frequently this year so that this site can be a reliable resource. If something seems out of date, let us know via email or on facebook.
The first major events for this year are Clubs Day and our First Meeting on Thursday 22nd February. Clubs Day runs 10am to 3pm on the Museum Lawn (across from the Otago University Central Library), and we’ll have a stall where you can come by, sign up and find more info about us. Later that evening we have our first meeting of the year from 7pm to 9pm at the OUSA Rec Centre, where we’ll be giving an introduction to the club, including what we’re doing this year. If you miss that meeting, you can still attend any of our future weekly meetings.
Here’s a quick rundown of what’s happening at the start of this semester:
Ongoing Tabletop Games
We hold regular tabletop roleplaying games at the OUSA Recreation Centre fortnightly on Wednesday nights. The next session is tonight! If you want to join a game this is a great opportunity. You can find us in Room 5&6 from 7pm to 10pm.
Our third weekend convention is this weekend (July 14-16), starting on Friday evening. This is a great way to meet other members and check out a variety of games. You can see the schedule on our Convention page, and check out the facebook event for more information.
If you enjoy LARPing or want to give it a try, we have an ongoing Vampire larp fortnightly on Wednesday nights (running the weeks that the tabletop sessions aren’t on). If you’re interested in joining, email email@example.com for more information, or contact Dunedin Larp on facebook.
If you want to keep up with the schedule of our events, check the Calendar page. If you want to chat with other members, ask questions and organise your own games, join our facebook group. If you have any further questions you can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hi everyone. The site’s information is now up to date for the current year. If you think we missed anything or made any mistakes let us know.
Clubs Day is today from 10am to 3pm at the University Link. Feel free to come by our table and support us.
Later that evening we also have our first meeting of the year – 7pm-9pm in Room 3 at the Recreation Centre. This is the best time to meet the rest of the club and find out more about what we do.
Our third convention is this weekend (15th – 17th July). For the full schedule you can check the events page or the convention’s facebook event. See the facebook page for more updates.
Note that unlike previous conventions, this one is being held in the Burns and Castle Buildings. We will be in Burns on the Friday and Sunday, and Castle on the Saturday.
Our first convention is this weekend, and you can now preregister. Click here for more info.
